Spen1 started writing graffiti in 1996 while living in South Florida. His influences come from comic, cartoon, anime and Hip Hop culture. Automobiles have always been a way of life from a very early age, as his father and older brothers were auto mechanics.

After watching one of the Burnyard videos, Spen DM’d Scotto, to see if he could paint a wall at the Tire Slayer Studios. Before you know it he was on his way to Compton to bless the new yard! The piston head character, who is at the center of the mural, combines both the love of automobiles and graffiti into one crazy character.
