Although they're both flat motors, it's pretty wild to hear the difference between Porsche's take and Subaru's take on the same engine layout. And while this may be blasphemous to a lot of Porsche heads, there's no denying that Subaru's JDM STI engine is a nice piece of kit that puts down respectable power. Mike Davidson wanted a real driver's car that he could put through its paces, so the powertrain choice was obvious.
